About Me

Hello! My name is Cora Grover and I'm an Art Teacher! I'm 24 years old and an Alumni of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, with a bachelor's degree in Art Education. I graduated from Madison College in 2020 with an associate's degree in Arts & Humanities. I'm every cheesy movie's main plot; I'm a small-town girl with big dreams.

I came from a long line of artists. My Dad is a woodworker and a metalsmith, my Grandpa was a painter and a drawer, my Great-Grandpa was a painter, and so on. Being an artist was written in the stars for me. The blue-collar career path most of my family followed wasn't. I'm the only Grover to make a career out of it.

Art has been my one passion in life. It's the one thing I've never faded out of or lost interest in. My Mom once told me that I've been drawing since my little baby hands could hold a crayon and I haven't stopped since. Art is the one thing I'm happy to fail at sometimes, because it gives me an excuse to grow and keep learning. I like to joke and say that if money were no object, I would be plopped in my studio all day, making art until I turn old and gray. However, the one thing I love more than making art is talking to people about it, so I'm certain that even if money grew on trees, I'd still be an art teacher.

I plan to take my career path and run with it. I strive to be a good teacher, one you and your children can look up to in more ways than one. I will work hard to become the teacher that sets high expectations and will give you the resources to get there.

That, or I'll be the next Andy Warhol!
